The Chemistry Council’s strategic programme on innovation is led by a Working Group of 11 senior representatives from industry (multinationals and SMEs) operating at different points in the chemistry sector supply chain. Its work is supported by the Society of Chemical Industry (SCI), a society that works at the interface of academia and industry, has developed an Innovation workstream spanning four innovation themes under which sit 12 programmes.

Next generation of prize winning researchers receive government investment

The Chemistry Council vision is to build a better world through being at the forefront of commercializing sustainable chemistry innovations. The strategic program on innovation will re-energies the sector, driving step-change growth from the adoption of new technologies.

Its 12 program are focused on delivering innovation that is sustainable through the use of renewable products, the creation of new processes and the development of circular economies.
